Does anybody esle miss the Kurtofsky fandom?
Maybe it was only because it was my first fandom, but I have yet to find a fandom as fulfilling as the kurtofsky fandom was. We were small, but we were a tight knit family. I really miss it. My tumblr experience hasn’t been the same since we all disbanded.
;_; *hug*
My exact thoughts, tumblr doesn’t feel quite the same it was back in 2010-2011

35 notes Reblogged from: misterkarofskyAs the night drew to a close and Kurt was finally given a moment to himself, he pulled out his phone and stared at the home-screen. Thoughts of last year’s Valentine’s Day rushed in his mind, the images of candy, stuffed animals and gorilla costumes making Kurt smile. Some days, Kurt wondered what could have been.
Scrolling through his list of contacts, Kurt found his name and dialed. He hoped that he would answer; it had been entirely too long.
After four rings, a low voice answered. “Hello?”
“David?” Kurt asked in a whisper, voice nearly cracking.
“K…Kurt? Is that you?” There was a sound of shuffling on the other end and the creaking of a bed in the background. “Um…this is kind of a surprise.”
“Yeah, I guess.” Kurt responded. “I just wanted to call you up and see how you were doing.”
“I’m doing good.” Dave’s voice was deep and guarded, much unlike how it had been the last time they had talked. Kurt flinched, knowing it was his fault for not keeping up with their friendship.
“Glad to hear. Did you…do anything special this Valentine’s Day?”
“Not really. Just studied for a Chem test and played Call of Duty. You?”
“Um…I kind of just came back from Mr. Schue and Ms. Pillsbury’s botched wedding. Along with some other details, that’s kind of been the big event of my night.” Kurt shuffled his feet and pursed his lips, thinking about his tryst with Blaine. Definitely not worth mentioning to David.
“Oh.” The line went silent for a moment and Kurt feared Dave had hung up on him.
“David?”
“Y-yeah?”
“I was…” Kurt took a deep, steadying breath, “I was thinking of you today. About…last year and all.”
Kurt heard the sound of a sharp intake of breath. “…I was hoping you had forgotten that.” David’s voice was just above a whisper.
“Just because it wasn’t at the right time doesn’t mean I didn’t appreciate it, David.” Kurt could feel the conversation reaching its peak and braced himself for impact.
“Yeah, well, it was a dumb move.”
“No. It was sweet.” Kurt paused. “I never thanked you for it. So…thank you, David.”
Silence. Then, in a gentle whisper, Dave replied. “…You’re welcome, Kurt.”
Kurt smiled warmly with regret as the soft click of the call ending filled his ear. He didn’t expect for David to proclaim how much he missed Kurt or how in love with him he still was. There were no whispered affections or apologies or even any speeches worthy of It Gets Better. They had gone their separate ways.
But that didn’t stop Kurt from wanting to try again.
